Civil Litigation - Appeals

Back to Civil Litigation

If a litigant feels that a judgment was wrong, it may be possible for him or her to appeal the decision. However, one should be aware that not all rulings are open to appeal. There must be legal grounds for appeal and the appeal must be filed within a given time period. Appeals can be lengthy and expensive, so before contemplating an appeal it would be wise to receive additional legal advice.
