Civil Litigation - Enforcement

Back to Civil Litigation

Once a successful judgement has been awarded, it can be difficult to get payment from the loser of the case especially if there is no insurance cover. Fortunately, there are a number of methods we can pursue to enforce the decision of the court. The court has several ways in which you may enforce a judgment to get it paid, including:

Warrant of Execution - instruct a bailiff to recover the debt

Attachment of Earnings Order - deduct monies from the loser’s wages

Third Party Debt Order – payment of money from bank accounts or third parties

Charging Order – charging a house or asset with a debt
