Civil Litigation - Mediation

Back to Civil Litigation

Mediation is the process of resolving disputes by using an impartial third party mediator. Mediation is sometimes successful in resolving disputes and claims.

The process of mediation can empower individuals and encourage people to put their own ideas forward, rather than having a judge decide what's best. It is less intimidating and more personal.  Mediation sometimes results in an agreement that makes both sides happy and is more likely to be adhered to by both sides. It is useful if there is a continuing commercial relationship between the parties.
