Catherine West

Catherine qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 and has a wide range of litigation experience which includes employment, personal injury, contractual disputes and professional negligence.

Catherine is the Head of the Employment Law Department acting on behalf of both employers and employees, dealing with contentious and non-contentious matters.  She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Catherine can provide day to day HR advice on a range of workplace issues such as handling disciplinary and grievance issues, managing poor performance and absence, contractual disputes and redundancies.  She is also able to review and draft contracts of employment, policies and procedures, consultancy agreements and compromise agreements.

Catherine’s own interest in animals has led her to develop the Animal and Equestrian Law Team.  She is a member of the Equine and Animal Lawyers Association and is able to provide a wide range of advice in connection with all animal related legal issues including, but not limited to, contractual disputes on sale and purchase or disputes over ownership for unpaid livery bills.

Catherine is currently on maternity leave.
